Carbon Copies

People rarely live the way they want.
They live the way it’s trending.

Walk into a store, and you’ll see the same T-shirt on twenty different people.
Scroll through social media, and you’ll find the same quote copied a thousand times.
Even the way people pose for photos has been standardized —
as if there’s a secret manual called: “How to Be Normal.”

It’s not about conviction. It’s about safety.
Dress like them, laugh at the same jokes, repeat the same lines…
and you’re accepted.

The different ones?
They’re labeled weird, awkward, or 'trying too hard.'
Ironically, the same society will celebrate them decades later,
framing their photos with the caption: “The genius who was never understood.”

Deep down, people know this.
Yet they keep applauding the same show,
walking in the same line,
and wearing the same plastic smile.

And after all that… they still wonder why life feels repetitive.
